South Shore Regional Communications Center
Job Title: Full Dispatcher
Salary Range:$26.27hr / $57,163yr to $36.77hr / $80,012yr with potential for shift differential and overtime. The South Shore Regional Emergency Communications Center (S.S.R.E.C.C.) is a Regional Emergency Communications Center (RECC) that supports the towns of Cohasset, Hingham, Hull, and Norwell. The SSRECC is continually accepting applicants for the position of dispatcher to operate the public safety communications systems that support the operations of the four member towns. This position will work with existing dispatchers receiving emergency and non-emergency calls for service over the telephone and by other means, employing appropriate call screening protocols, entering data into a computer(s) as it is being received, and dispatching the appropriate public safety resources. This position is responsible for interaction with other public safety dispatch agencies including the field personnel in law enforcement, fire, and EMS. Job Title: Assistant Director of Communications
The Assistant Director of Communications, under the guidance and direction of the Director of Communications will serve an upper management role within the organization and will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day overall functionality of the center, planning, managing and directing the daily activities and operations of the Holbrook Regional Emergency Communications Center. The Assistant Director will provide guidance and oversight to the Leadership Team and Telecommunicators of the Center to include the Deputy Director of Communications, Operations Manager, Training Coordinator, QA/QI Analyst and Supervisory/Lead team. The Assistant Director will work with the leadership team to identify the need for resources, clarification of policies, procedures, standards, guidelines or objectives, and intervention into poor performance, conduct or morale. The Assistant Director shall follow up on recommended corrective action as appropriate and oversee the progressive discipline process as well as compliance measures to be taken so that expectations for high quality delivery of dispatch services are being met. Job Title: Deputy Director
The Holbrook Regional Emergency Communications Center is conducting a search for the vacant position of Deputy Director of Communications. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week FLSA exempt position. This position will assist the Director and Assistant Director who are responsible for the overall leadership and administration of the HRECC including; supervising, strategic planning, change management; budgeting, and public relations. As part of a team, the position will also recommend rules, regulations, policies, and procedures for the day-to-day operations as well as work to establish long and short-term goals and objectives. The Town of Avon seeks qualified candidates for the full-time, AFSCME union position of Public Safety Dispatcher to receive and process emergency and non-emergency signals and calls for service. Dispatch police, fire, EMS and other emergency units and personnel as needed. Monitor and operate emergency signaling, radio, computer, telephone, alarm, and other specialized equipment in support of public safety communications and dispatch functions.
Requirements include a high school diploma/GED, college degree desirable. Must achieve within the first 3 months of employment, or as soon as reasonable, based upon the availability of courses; CPR certification, ens operator certification and EMD certification.
