Cambridge Courthouse Third Street

The project replaced the existing windows addressed required exterior masonry required repairs, replaced the roof and repaired the cupola and replaced the roof top air handling unit. The detention area was reconfigured to meet the guidelines of the court system as well as provide an accessible holding cell.

Notable sustainable design features:

• The window replacement was the most impactful project component in energy savings going forward. Ventilation energy use and power usage of new Air Handling Unit will also help save energy. New roof insulation meets new energy performance requirements.
