Commander Matthew Seto

Matthew Seto is a proud Marine Corps veteran from Boston, Massachusetts. After concluding his military service in 2005, Matthew dedicated his post-military career to serving the veteran community, as well as the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. He has consistently shown a strong commitment to the well-being of his fellow veterans. One of his early initiatives was founding the Asian Pacific American Veterans group on Facebook, which helped connect veterans and gather their remarkable stories, achievements, and shared experiences.

In his current role as the Post Commander of the American Legion Chinatown Post 328, Matthew Seto continues to lead by example and advocate for the interests of veterans and their communities. His most recent and ambitious undertaking is the creation of a Chinese-American Veterans Memorial, which seeks to honor and immortalize the contributions and sacrifices of Chinese-American veterans in Massachusetts. With a strong focus on preserving the rich history of these veterans, Matthew's dedication extends beyond his role as a Post Commander, emphasizing the significance of recognizing the often overlooked contributions of these veterans to the broader American narrative. Matthew Seto's passion for veterans' causes and his tireless efforts to ensure their stories are heard and celebrated make him a vital figure in the veteran and AAPI communities.
