Provider Revalidation activities suspended during the COVID-19 national emergency
Effective April 1, 2020, MassHealth provider revalidation activities will be suspended and shall remain suspended for the duration of the national emergency. Following the expiration of the national emergency, MassHealth will resume revalidation, including for those providers scheduled to be revalidated during the emergency.
Provider Application Fee waived during the COVID-19 national emergency
Effective March 26, 2020, MassHealth provider application fees will be waived and shall remain waived for the duration of the national emergency. Provider applicants that would normally be subject to an application fee will be temporarily and provisionally enrolled. Following the expiration of the national emergency, MassHealth will resume the collection of provider application fees, including for those providers provisionally enrolled during the emergency period, in order to enroll them long term.
Moderate Risk and High Risk Level Providers during the COVID-19 national emergency
Effective March 26, 2020, MassHealth Fingerprinting and Site Visits of High Risk providers and Site Visits of Moderate Risk providers will be suspended and shall remain suspended for the duration of the national emergency. Provider applicants that would normally be subject to fingerprinting and/or site visits will be temporarily and provisionally enrolled. Following the expiration of the national emergency, MassHealth will require fingerprinting and site visits, as applicable, including for those providers provisionally enrolled during the emergency period order to enroll them long term.
