Submitting a timely application is one of the best ways to avoid a lapse in your certification. In most cases, a timely application provides enough time to resolve outstanding application deficiencies and to obtain the necessary evaluations to maintain your certification. As a courtesy, the online application system generates three reminder notices to get your application in on time.
When are the courtesy renewal notices sent?
The first courtesy renewal notice is sent 45 days before your application is due. The second courtesy notice is sent 30 days before your application is due. The third courtesy notice is sent 15 days before your application is due.
Below is a snip from a courtesy renewal notice:
Who are the courtesy renewal notices sent to?
The courtesy renewal notice is sent to the person that submitted the last application and the owner of the company.
Does failure to receive a courtesy renewal notice excuse timely submission?
No. If a contractor fails to receive a courtesy renewal notice it does not excuse failure to submit a timely application. Applications are due 90 days prior to the expiration of your current certificate. This information is noted on the bottom of your Certificate. It is also included at the bottom of every monthly Tip Sheet that is sent out to all our certified contractors.
