Welcome to the Department of Mental Health (DMH) Office of the Ombudsman. The DMH Ombudsman assists individuals having difficulty resolving problems with their DMH services. The Ombudsman acts on behalf of the Commissioner to help resolve problems that are causing delays or disruptions in the DMH services they have been approved to receive.
- The Office of the Ombudsman cannot assist with obtaining DMH or other mental health services. Learn more about applying for DMH services.
- The Office of the Ombudsman is not a replacement for DMH’s Office of Investigations or other complaint resolution mechanisms. Learn more about DMH Investigations and submitting a complaint.
