Emergency Sign Language Interpreter Cards

These cards are used to inform police and medical emergency service responders how and where to request interpreters for emergencies involving Deaf individuals who use American Sign Language.

Front side of Emergency Sign Language Interpreter Card which states "For medical, mental health, and legal emergency sign language interpreter/CART needs, call 1800-249-9949 Voice or TTY" under MCDHH logo.
Back side of Emergency Sign Language Interpreter Card states, "Under federal ADA law this person has a legal right to an interpreter. Call 18002499949 in case of emergency including arrests, ER visits, admission to detox or psychiatric facility, or psychological evaluation. If not an emergency, call 6177401600."
