What you need to know

To better understand the status of environmental health awareness among health care providers, DPH surveyed actively practicing clinicians in primary care fields such as family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, and reproductive health.  Insights from this survey are summarized in a data brief entitled “Clinicians’ Experience with Environmental Exposures”.  Results of this survey are being used to inform the development of a statewide program to build awareness of environmental contaminants, their human health effects, and what clinicians can do to help prevent or reduce harmful exposures.
