My son Eric was the youngest of three, he was a kind, very intelligent young man and very humble. He never bragged about his accomplishments in life, and they are too numerous to mention, but upon his death and reflecting on his short life he accomplished so much. I am honored to be your mom.
Eric loved Latin, chess, fishing, in both fresh and salt water with his dad, cooking, competing in archery competitions at the State and National Levels, and talking and helping older folks. He was an old soul who was accepting of all people no matter their ages, abilities, or were they came from. He was so happy that he was accepted into the Isenberg School of Management the twinkle in his blue eyes and smile on his face that day he was accepted I will never forget. He was Finance Major and a Minor in Government. Eric was accepted in the Fund for American Studies in Washington, D.C. on a full scholarship in January 2025. He then worked as an Intern in D.C. starting June 1, 2025 and on June 30th he was shot at 10:28 p.m., and sadly his birthday is 10/28/2003. He passed away at 1:06 a.m., July 1st.
Eric would have graduated in May 2026. Instead of a graduation party we had a funeral and luncheon where he wanted to have his graduation party. Our family will never be the same, I think of him daily, shed tears and I hear his voice say, "Mom I miss you". I reply, "I miss you too babe". What could have been I will never know. Eric, I miss you so much. You were 21 years old, but still my baby. I love you.
