The project is a two-phase project consisting of:

  • Phase I:  Building systems and other upgrades to the Vocational Building (Voc) to permit occupancy under the Building Code for detainee housing (Phase I).  The study was certified in May 2022, and is moving into design and construction
  • Phase II- Study to evaluate upgrades of the Inmate Services Building (ISB), including renovations for the kitchen and dining areas for detainees housed on campus, and potential new construction of an infirmary, currently housed on the second floor, with renovations to replace the current infirmary

Project Features

Phase I consists of the following:

  • Upgrades to detainee recreational yards for the Voc housing units
  • Full accessibility upgrades
  • New electrical-powered HVAC system, for greenhouse gas reduction
  • Security system upgrades

Phase II study is in progress, with anticipated completion in December 2022.
