DCR's South Coast District is a collection of 14 parks, forests, and reservations located in Bristol and Plymouth Counties.
The Complex provides a variety of public benefits, including interpreting Fall River’s industrial past; protecting habitat for rare species; preserving important cultural landscapes and resources; providing trails for motorized and non-motorized recreation; offering public access to the coastline and to the banks of the Taunton River; providing freshwater and saltwater swimming opportunities; offering overnight camping; and providing day-use areas for picnicking.
