Position Title: Field Operations Manager

Reports to: MDPH Coordinator of Quality Improvement and Academic Partnerships

Hours per week: 15 hours per week total

Location: Remote

Compensation: Unpaid/Practicum Opportunity/School Credit

Timeframe: Fall / Spring / Summer

The Field Operations Manager of the APHC ensures the execution of project activities by interfacing with the APHC Co-Directors, Team Leads and Local Boards of Health (LBOHs). They enable timely placement of Team Leads and cultivate town and regional partnerships. The Field Operations Manager works with the APHC Co-Leads through daily and weekly communication by email, phone, and weekly meetings to oversee and ensure implementation of the APHC work and goals.

Responsibilities

  • LBOH Partnership Development
    • Collaborate with MHOA Executive Director and AHD to develop new LBOH partnerships
    • Perform rapid needs assessment (RNA) calls
    • Document LBOH meeting results and status
    • Update AHD on new and existing partnerships
  • Team Lead Support/Oversight
    • Collaborate with Team Leads to set LBOH service goals
    • Solicit weekly feedback from Team Leads regarding LBOH partnership
    • Co-facilitate team lead meetings
    • Troubleshoot team resource needs in conjunction with the Internal Operations Manager
  • Training and Professional Development
    • Identify training/professional development opportunities for current team leads/volunteers from stakeholder input (team leads, LBOH, AHD, APHVC leadership team)
  • After Action Reviews
    • Identify criteria necessary to trigger after-action review process
    • Facilitate after-action reviews
  • Research Activities
    • Needs Assessment research

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Availability 15 hours per week
  • Affiliation with one of the 13 APHCs partner institutions

  • Experience managing teams and projects
  • Responsive, detail-oriented, and comfortable with a rapid pace

  • Knowledgeable in public health
  • Highly independent and proactive worker
  • A team player, excited to support local public health in Massachusetts
