The Minuteman RVTSD Retirement System is seeking qualified applicants interested in serving as the Fifth Member of the Retirement Board for a three-year term commencing on December 19, 2026.
Minuteman RVTSD Retirement Board members act as fiduciaries of the Minuteman RVTSD Retirement System. Minuteman RVTSD Retirement Board members perform their duties solely in the interest of Minuteman RVTSD Retirement System’s members and their beneficiaries, in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, the rules and regulations promulgated by the Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission (PERAC), and the rules and regulations adopted by the Board and approved by PERAC.
The Fifth Member cannot be a retiree of the retirement system or an employee or official of the Minuteman High School District. The Fifth Board Member will be chosen by the other four Retirement Board Members for a three-year term.
The Minuteman RVTSD Retirement Board meets online once a month - generally on the third or fourth Thursday of each month at 4:45pm- with additional special meetings as needed. Board members are paid an annual stipend of $3,000.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with MGL Chapter 32
- Availability/flexibility to attend regular meetings and special meetings
The Fifth Member will be required to
- Attend monthly meetings and special meetings as needed
- Complete eighteen hours of educational training during the three-year term, with a minimum of three hours to be completed annually but with no more than nine hours to be credited in any one year
- File an annual Statement of Financial Interest with PERAC
- Complete Conflict of Interest and Ethics training biannually
- Develop knowledge of Massachusetts Open Meeting Law
- Develop knowledge of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 32
