Search Archive-It
Outdated Mass.gov content is unpublished to keep the website current and accurate. There are several ways to find content that is no longer published on Mass.gov.
A snapshot of the overall Mass.gov website (without attached documents) is captured weekly at Archive-It, the Internet Archive's subscription product. Here you can search for webpages, press releases, content from past administrations, and more from as far back as 2008.
Also available on Archive-It:
- Daily snapshots of the home page
- Daily snapshots of the official Commonwealth Facebook and Twitter accounts
- Quarterly or monthly copies of the entire Mass.gov site, with documents
- Archived pages of websites of prior Governors
Search the Wayback Machine
You can also find snapshots of state government web content at the Wayback Machine, which goes back to 1998. The Wayback Machine is the Internet Archive's public tool for viewing archived web pages.
- Pages from www.mass.gov (2002 to present)
- Pages from www.state.ma.us (1998 to 2001)

The Archive-IT snapshots and Wayback Machine are not official state archives. For official state archives, please visit the Massachusetts Archives or search the State Library of Massachusetts' digital collections.
