Formal Ethics Commission Advisory Opinions that provide general guidance on the conflict of interest law

  • EC-COI-90-10

    A member of a city commission whose company subsidiary might enter into a contract with the city commission is advised on the restrictions under G.L. c. 268A, sections 17, 19, 20 and 23.

  • EC-COI-84-61

    A member of the General Court is provided general advice about how sections 4, 5 and 6 will apply to private business activities while a member of the General Court and upon leaving the General Court.

  • EC-COI-83-43

    A member of the General Court is given advice on how to comply with sections 6 and 23 of the conflict of interest law in connection with private employment with a banking and investment firm.
