Guide to the New Unemployment Services System

If you receive unemployment insurance benefits, or you are an employer in Massachusetts, you'll need to prepare for the upcoming launch of a new online unemployment insurance system. The good news? You'll be able to manage your unemployment claim easier and on-the-go.

Starting May 6, 2025, the Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA) is launching a new online system that will make it easier for individuals to apply for and manage unemployment benefits—and for employers and third-party administrators to manage tax accounts and benefit claims.

This guide will help you prepare for the transition, understand what’s changing, and know what steps to take now.
