As the Commonwealth's State Administering Agency (SAA) for funds from the National Highway Safety Traffic Administration (NHTSA), the Office of Grants and Research is mandated to submit a Triennial Highway Safety Plan outlining priority areas and performance targets for these federal funds.
As part of the community-focused approach to producing this strategic plan, OGR's Highway Safety Division held a series of virtual town hall meetings to solicit input from communities that are overrepresented in traffic crash and fatality data.
In addition, OGR submits an Annual Report outlining progress toward the goals set in the Highway Safety Plan.
