Legal Internship Program
Fall & Spring Semesters
The AGO offers legal internships during the academic year for current law students. These internships are assigned based on division needs and provide an excellent opportunity to work closely with our legal teams on a wide range of public interest issues.

Summer Legal Internship Program – 2026
Spend your summer making a difference. Our 10-week, full-time summer program provides law students with a structured and enriching experience, including training sessions, networking opportunities, and meaningful legal work that supports the AGO’s mission.
The program for 2026 is May 26, 2026 – July 31, 2026. The summer legal internship program is designed for law students completing their 1L or 2L year. Some funding may be available for those students who cannot secure funding through their law schools.

- Law School Transcript (Unofficial transcripts are acceptable. 1Ls may submit once grades are available.)

Interviews will be conducted remotely in late January and early February.
Students from participating schools in the Massachusetts Law School Consortium can also apply through the Government & Public Interest Law Recruitment Program. The Attorney General’s Office plans to participate in interviews during the Consortium’s January program.
