Learn more about what is happening next for the Rural Health Transformation Program.

The following outlines the milestones that will guide the implementation and oversight of the Massachusetts Rural Health Transformation Program over the next year. More information will be shared as it becomes available.

  • Spring 2026:
    Community engagement structures are set up:
    Recruitment and selection of Advisory Council members. Initiative Workgroups are formed.
    Program hiring begins in May
  • Summer 2026:
    Activity plans are finalized
    Procurements begin via COMMBUYS
  • Fall 2026: All year one RHTP Funds subject to procurement are contracted and implementation of activities is underway.

We invite all parties to join us in this effort and to stay informed about progress and opportunities for engagement. To reinforce EOHHS’s ongoing commitment to community and public engagement, the agency will continue outreach efforts through the creation of a Community Advisory Council, initiative-specific workgroups, public information sessions, and partnerships with existing rural advisory bodies. More information will be shared as it becomes available.
