Kylie joined MassDOT in May 2022 as a co-op. Her co-op turned into a full-time position, and she currently serves as one of the Wetlands and Water Resources Unit’s Environmental Analysts. Kylie completed her Master of Environmental Science and Management degree at the University of Rhode Island.
At MassDOT, Kylie ensures that projects in design are receiving permits that meet regulatory requirements related to the Clean Water Act and the Wetlands Protection Act. Kylie is also responsible for coordinating with agencies like the U.S. Coast Guard and Coastal Zone Management to ensure that projects are fully permitted before proceeding to construction.
Prior to working at MassDOT, Kylie worked as an intern for the Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs as a wetland analyst, documenting the type and coverage of wetlands across the state of Massachusetts, monitoring for loss of wetlands habitat.
In her spare time, Kylie enjoys spending time cooking, going to concerts, and taking her dog on walks.
