New MAVRIC system update
RVRS is pleased to announce that the new MAVRIC electronic death registration system will go live on June 2nd 2025.
Please note that while the MAVRIC death registration is expected to go live in June 2025, the birth registration system in MAVRIC will follow in 2026.
Attention all data partners:
It is critical that you now become familiar with MAVRIC and the specific workflows for your role. If you have attended a webinar but it was weeks or months ago, you may want to consider taking it again as a refresher. You can find all the training information and enroll in a webinar via TRAIN, the state’s e-learning platform.
For all MAVRIC training and resources – go to TRAIN Massachusetts www.TRAIN.org/MA or go to: MAVRIC training program on mass.gov.
Please keep an eye out for an email with detailed MAVRIC enrollment instructions. RVRS will create MAVRIC profiles for VIP accounts that have been active since July 1, 2022. New users since then will be able to enroll online using the MAVRIC application. Information coming soon.
Introducing Dr. Jennifer Raymond, New RVRS Registrar
Thank you for the chance to introduce myself as the new Registrar. I have spent my career at the intersection of policy, inequality, and research and becoming the new Registrar feels in some ways like coming home.
Before arriving at RVRS, I served as Dean of the Ph.D. Program in Interdisciplinary Studies at Union Institute & University. Prior to that, I was a Senior Research Associate at the Center for Social Policy at UMass Boston, where I conducted research and program evaluation on welfare, homelessness, and poverty and earned my Ph.D. in Public Policy.
I look forward to applying my experience in health equity, strategic planning, operations, systems transformation, and financial management to the critical work of RVRS and its partners.
I’m also pleased to be joining RVRS at such an exciting time, a time of significant technological transformation. From what I have already learned, I believe that the new online system for processing death registrations will mean enhanced functionality for RVRS users, and improved data collection from across the Commonwealth. I wholeheartedly support both goals.
DPH and RVRS have given me such a warm welcome – and lots to learn. I am eager to get to know my new colleagues and get to know you, our data partners, who rely on RVRS for timely, accurate, and relevant data. I’m sure we will have such opportunities soon.
Until then, I feel as though I am 100% in the right place and I am super-excited to get started.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Raymond
