Categories of access to fingerprint-based criminal record checks

Department of Developmental Services (DDS) 

Cannabis Control Commission (CCC)

Department of Revenue (DOR)

Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (ESE)

  • All adults arrests regardless of arraignment status both in Massachusetts or out-of-state
  • All Massachusetts adult and adjudicated as an adult convictions or non-convictions and pending offenses
  • All out-of-state adult convictions, non-convictions, and pending offenses
  • All federal and international arrests or chargers, including but not limited to deportation and immigration proceedings
  • Juvenile offenses in Massachusetts
  • Out-of-state- juvenile offenses according to each individual state's law
  • Sealed offenses (for Massachusetts only)
  • Out-of-state sealed records if listed on fingerprint results or disposition
  • Civil offenses in Massachusetts
  • Massachusetts arraignments with a civil disposition

Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV)

Department of Early Education and Care (EEC)

Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS)

  • All arrests regardless of arraignment status both in Massachusetts and out-of-state
  • All adult and juvenile convictions, non-convictions, and pending offenses both in Massachusetts and out-of-state
  • All federal and international arrests or charges, including but not limited to deportation and immigration proceedings
  • All civil offenses in both Massachusetts and out-of-state
  • All sealed offenses in both Massachusetts and out-of state
