Lily joined MassDOT Highway Division in March 2024 as a co-op in the Wetlands Unit and transitioned to an Environmental Analyst in July 2025. Lily completed her bachelor’s degree in biology at Franklin Pierce University in 2022 and went on to receive her master’s degree in Energy and Sustainability in 2024. Her passion for protecting the environment, reducing climate impacts, and learning about climate action is what led Lily into the environmental field.
At MassDOT, Lily serves as an environmental reviewer for both MassDOT bridge and roadway projects. Lily works on wetland and water resource permitting for bridge and roadway projects within the construction advertisement program. Her role is to assist in reviewing projects and their permit applications to ensure that they meet regulatory requirements and avoid, minimize, and mitigate environmental impacts. Her favorite aspect of the role is working with other units in the environmental department to protect natural resources while developing safe and accessible transportation projects for the public.
During her free time, you can find Lily reading, baking, playing video games, and spending time with friends and family.
