On July 18, 2024, MAFMA held its semi-annual meeting at the MassWildLife Field Headquarters in Westborough. The agenda included the following:

MAFMA University Commencement 2024

MAFMA University Commencement 5/29/2024

MAFMA held its Commencement at the State House in the Nurse’s Hall. Attendees included “graduates”, supervisors, spouses, and friends. DCAMM Commissioner Adam Baacke and Assistant Secretary Mark Fine awarded certificates of completion of MAFMA University training sessions.

For the 2023-2024 semesters, 97 MAFMA Members completed the required curriculum and earned a certificate. Graduates came from all Secretariats and the Judiciary. Students Robert Ciempa from the Berkshire Sheriff Department and Joseph MacKinnon from Cape Cod Community College spoke on the value of the webinar sessions.

On October 26, DCAMM Commissioner Adam Baacke welcomed MAFMA members to their 2023 Fall Semi Annual meeting. Meeting was held in person at the State Police Headquarters in Framingham. The Commissioner thanked present members for their efforts operating and maintaining our state facilities and helping achieve our state’s decarbonization goals. He also presented our 2023 MAFMA Member of the Year award to Jo Ann Bentley from Bristol Community College. Other discussions included improving communication during construction projects, heat pump technology, available MAFMA tool barn items, and planning-implementing decarbonization activities.
