Program Description:
The Adelante Program at the Lawrence YMCA helps high-achieving 8th grade students improve their educational opportunities by guiding them through the process of applying to top private and public high schools.
Adelante students commit their time, energy, and effort to develop into stronger students. When accepted to the high school of their choice, most are awarded financial assistance from the school.  In addition to academic support, program participants also engage in activities aimed at familiarizing themselves with their roots as citizens of the Merrimack Valley, and empowering them to become change makers in their communities.
