MPTC Police Academy Scholarship Program Eligibility

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet minimum requirements including:

  • Identify as economically disadvantaged and/or underrepresented population across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Student Officers must be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years old. 
  • Have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pass a CORI Check conducted prior to acceptance.
  • Provide proof of adequate insurance or obtain health insurance and have it remain in effect through the entire academy program.
  • Successfully complete the Massachusetts Human Resource Division’s (HRD) Physical Ability Test (PAT) and HRD Medical Exam.
