Nick was a kind, funny, and adventurous person who brought warmth and laughter to the people around him. He loved martial arts and was especially interested in karate and Bruce Lee when he was younger. Nick also enjoyed playing video games, reading, working out, cars, and spending time outdoors. Though he could be quiet, he had a playful side and loved to tease the people he cared about. He was a hardworking person who tried to build a life for himself while navigating his own struggles. Nick had an adventurous spirit and loved exploring the world. In his early twenties, he drove across the country and spent several years living in California, traveling in his truck and sometimes slept in the bed of his truck as he made his way to new places. Even while he was far away, he stayed connected, he would send me postcards so I would know he was thinking of me. To me, Nick wasn’t just my brother, he was also my best friend. He loved joking around and taught me how to play many video games. One of my favorite memories are the simple moments we shared like having him read to me as a child when I couldn't fall asleep. Nick was only 26 years old when his life was taken. I often think about the person he might have become if he had been given more time. I believe he would have been an amazing uncle to my daughter, and I wish they could have known each other. These memories are only a small glimpse of who Nick was, but he continues to live on with those who loved him. We miss you always.
