To the Members and Retirees of the Greater Lawrence Sanitary District Employees' Retirement System
The Greater Lawrence Sanitary District Employees' Retirement Board would like to take this opportunity to inform all members and retirees of the Greater Lawrence Sanitary District Employees' Retirement System that an election will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. for the purpose of electing a member to serve on the Greater Lawrence Sanitary District Employees' Retirement Board for a period of three (3) years from February 24, 2027, to February 23, 2030. There is an annual stipend of $3,000.
Members in service and retirees of the Greater Lawrence Sanitary District Employees' Retirement System may qualify as a candidate by filing with the Greater Lawrence Sanitary District Employees' Retirement Board an official nomination paper signed by a least twenty (20) members of the Greater Lawrence Sanitary District Employees' Retirement System. Nomination papers must be signed by the candidate and will be available via email, mail or in person beginning Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
Nomination papers must be received in the Office of the Greater Lawrence Sanitary District Employees' Retirement Board by Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Nomination papers received after the previously stated day and hour will not be accepted.
The names of the candidates who have been duly nominated will be printed on the ballot. Ballots containing official voting instructions will be mailed to members and retirees on August 19, 2026. If you have not received a ballot by August 31, 2026, please notify the Retirement Board Office. In the event of non-contested nomination, (only one candidate) there will be no ballot mailed and the candidate will be announced as elected by declaration.
Ballots may be mailed or returned in person to the Office of the Greater Lawrence Sanitary District Employees' Retirement Board, 240 Charles Street, PO BOX 187 North Andover, MA 01845. and must be received by Monday, October 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. No ballot received after the aforesaid date and time will be considered valid.
