An election notice to the members of the North Attleboro Retirement Board.

Notice of Election to Members and Retirees

The North Attleboro Retirement Board, in accordance with the provisions of MGL Chapter 32 and 840 CMR 7.00, is currently conducting an election for two Board positions scheduled for Wednesday, August 19, 2026.

The term of office will begin September 1, 2026, and will expire August 31, 2029. Elected Members must file an Annual Statement of Financial Interest (SFI) with Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission (PERAC) and must undertake 18 hours of educational training during the three-year term. Board members are paid a yearly stipend of $3,000.

Nomination papers must be filed with the Retirement Board no later than 12:00pm on July 2, 2026. Any active member in service or retiree of the North Attleboro Contributory Retirement System may qualify as a candidate by filing with the Retirement Office, the nomination paper containing signatures of at least twenty (20) active members or retirees of the North Attleboro Retirement System. Nomination papers are available at the Retirement Office, located at 500 East Washington Street, Unit 21, during regular business hours or upon request, via US Mail, fax, or e-mail.

Absentee ballots will be mailed to all retirees on July 29, 2026. The election will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 from 8:00am to 6:00pm at the Retirement Office, located at 500 East Washington Street, Unit 21.
