Omil was just 23 when his life was tragically cut short by his paternal uncle during an argument, taken from us on a day that should have been filled with joy—the baby shower for his youngest child. Despite his short time on Earth, Omil’s presence left an unforgettable mark. Known for his radiant smile and the warmth he carried into every room, he brought light, love, and comfort to those around him. He had a gift for making people feel seen and valued, simply by being fully present with them.
Music and writing were some of his passions, and through them, he channeled both joy and pain. He wrote poems about hope and struggle, using words as a refuge when speaking them aloud felt too heavy. Boxing was his calling—not just as a sport but as a mission. He dreamed of building a free gym in his community, a safe haven for kids to grow strong in both body and spirit. He wasn’t just fighting for titles; he was fighting to uplift others and leave a legacy of purpose and hope.
Omil’s loss is a grief that lingers deeply, yet his presence is still felt—in his three children, in the people he inspired, and in every memory of his laughter, hugs, and unwavering belief that things would be okay. He lived with heart, and even in death, he continues to light the way for those who loved him. As his mother, I carry his love every day—grateful for the years we shared, and for the enduring light he left behind.
Forever loved, remembered and present in our lives.
