On-The-Job-Training

On-The- Job-Training (OJT) is a cost-saving service offered by MassAbility that helps employers find qualified job seekers.

Prospective employers may wish to take advantage of an option offered by MassAbility to reimburse the salary of an employee during an on-site training period known as On-The- Job-Training (OJT).

What is On-the-Job-Training?

As an employer, training new employees can often take away from your bottom line. On-the-Job-Training (OJT) provides funds that reimburse the training of new employees hired through MassAbility.

Here’s how it works:

  1. You inform us about an open position.
  2. We provide a qualified job candidate.
  3. You interview the candidate. If you feel they’re a good fit for your business, you hire them for a training period.
  4. We set you up with a training reimbursement agreement for the training period.
  5. After the trial period is over, you decide if you want to retain the employee.
  6. If you retain the employee, you’ve now got a talented, hard-working employee ready to help your business grow and thrive.

How can I participate in OJT?
