Prospective employers may wish to take advantage of an option offered by MassAbility to reimburse the salary of an employee during an on-site training period known as On-The- Job-Training (OJT).
What is On-the-Job-Training?
As an employer, training new employees can often take away from your bottom line. On-the-Job-Training (OJT) provides funds that reimburse the training of new employees hired through MassAbility.
Here’s how it works:
- You inform us about an open position.
- We provide a qualified job candidate.
- You interview the candidate. If you feel they’re a good fit for your business, you hire them for a training period.
- We set you up with a training reimbursement agreement for the training period.
- After the trial period is over, you decide if you want to retain the employee.
- If you retain the employee, you’ve now got a talented, hard-working employee ready to help your business grow and thrive.
