Retail License Renewals (Annual/Seasonal)

This page is a resource for Local Licensing Authorities to assist in the renewal process of on-premises and off premises liquor licenses. All licensees should reach out to their town's Licensing Authority for the renewal of their annual or seasonal retail liquor license.

Renewal Process Overview

Starting in 2025, the ABCC will send out retail liquor license renewal information to municipalities directly through our eLicensing system. Below you will find documents related to the renewal of all retail liquor licenses issued on an annual or seasonal basis. All forms should be returned via standard mail to the ABCC.

Retail renewal forms to be signed by licensees will be emailed directly from the ABCC eLicensing system to cities and towns. Any licensee looking for their renewal form should contact their Local Licensing Authority.

Annual Renewal Overview

All annual retail liquor license renewal forms need to be signed in November per MGL Chapter 138 Section 16A. Additional documents related to the renewal of annual liquor licenses for municipalities may be found below.

Seasonal Renewal Overview

All annual retail liquor license renewal forms need to be signed in March per MGL Chapter 138 Section 16A. Additional documents related to the renewal of annual liquor licenses for municipalities may be found below.
