Retirement Systems Local Options

Local retirement boards, except the State and Teachers' Retirement Boards, may vote on the applicability of certain retirement laws for their retirement systems.

These local options have generated the greatest interest among the retirement boards and their members. They do not reflect all of the local option provisions found under Chapter 32. Laws related to each option are also listed. 

"Yes" indicates that PERAC has received proof of option acceptance.

"No" does not necessarily mean that an option has not been accepted. If a retirement board has accepted an option but our office has not received proof of such acceptance, the option will be listed as not accepted.
