Scott Roger Callahan, 1964 – 2021, was born in Michigan to Dr. Roger Callahan and Barbara (Callahan) Vilardi.  He was raised in Westport, CT, where he made life-long friends. He graduated from Colorado State College and enjoyed a successful career in finance, most recently as Sr. Vice President at Texas Capital Bank.  He spent most of his adult life residing in Hingham and Norwell, MA.

Scott was successful in business and provided well for his family. He loved nothing more than his 3 boys, and often took them skiing and mountain biking.  Any conversation with Scott included an update of what they were up to, and how incredibly proud he was of each of them.

Scott had 3 older sisters. His nieces and nephews called him “Uncle Buck” – a nod to his fun-loving spontaneity.  He often dressed the part too--wearing colorful stripes and plaids, with abounding confidence.

If you knew Scott, you liked him.  He made friends everywhere he went.  He hung onto his childhood friends, his high school and college friends, and his work friends.  He kept in touch with everyone.

Scott was one of those people who knew a lot about a lot of things. If you were in a game of trivia, you absolutely wanted him on your team. He loved comedy and had a knack for making everyone in the room laugh. Scott was also a gifted musician.  He was awesome on the guitar and piano, and never took a lesson in his life.  He loved the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, and going to concerts (even if it meant hopping a last-minute flight out of the country).

Scott’s goals in life were to be successful, to have fun, and to be with his family.  We miss having him walk into the room and light it up with his smile.  We miss the frequent phone calls and the belly laughs.

Rest in peace, Scott. You are loved and you are not forgotten.
