Senior Nutrition Program Eligibility and How to Apply

Congregate Meals

  • People aged 60 or older and their spouses at any age.

  • People with disabilities under age 60 who live in elder housing facilities where congregate meals are served.

  • There is no income eligibility test required.

Home Delivered Meals

  • People aged 60 or older.

  • People who meet home delivered meal eligibility requirements by being isolated, frail, and/or homebound.

  • Individuals with disabilities living at home with their caregiver(s) who are eligible older adults.

  • There is no income eligibility test required.

How to Apply

There are senior nutrition agencies located throughout Massachusetts. To find your closest agency, you may call (800) 243-4636 or use this link to get the agency’s information and phone number.   

  • If you are looking for a congregate dining site, the local agency will refer you to dining options in your area and give you information on how to connect with this service. You do not have to go to the agency office to apply in person.
  • If you are looking for home-delivered meals, agency staff will make an appointment to meet you at home for a home-delivered meal assessment.
