My son, Tim, was a kind, caring, loving and funny man. Although most of his adult life was spent struggling with addiction, he never lost the ability to care for others. He loved his little sister fiercely and cared for her as a PCA for the last 4 years of her life. He had a soft spot for animals, especially dogs and cats. Tim was an avid sports fan especially of the Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He enjoyed playing the guitar, which was something he shared with his oldest brother, Dave who he also grieved the loss of. Despite everything he lost, he always kept his sense of humor and his ability to reach out and help others. It was often said he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it more than him. He died as the victim of a brutal stabbing, something his family will never be able to make sense of as we await the trial of the person accused of this horrible crime. His death took away a beautiful spirit and also our never-ending hope for his sobriety. We will never stop missing him.
