Phase II of the project began in January 2025 and includes the replacement of the south side of the Maffa Way Bridge and the north side of the Mystic Avenue Bridge. On Maffa Way, two lanes of traffic are shifted onto the newly constructed north side of the bridge. One lane from Broadway in Somerville and one lane from the I-93 ramp will be maintained. Pedestrian access will be maintained across the bridge.
