Project Completion
MassDOT is pleased to announce that all major construction activities for the Somerville I-93 Viaduct Preservation Project have been completed. By the end of February, the contractor will have finished remaining work and demobilized from the area.
The preservation project has extended the life span of the viaduct by completing the necessary steel, concrete, joint, deck and other repairs as needed.
MassDOT and the project contractors extend their appreciation to the businesses, residents, and surrounding community for their cooperation and patience throughout the project. Your assistance was essential in making this project run smoothly and quickly. The project team wishes a safe and happy winter season to all.
