The Office of Workplace Rights & Compliance serves as a resource for court staff and court users and assists with addressing concerns and answering questions on these issues.
The Massachusetts Trial Court is committed to the principles and practice of equal employment opportunity and maintains an environment free from unwelcome verbal or physical conduct, including sexual harassment.
We seek to build a culture of accountability, encouraging all our employees to take responsibility for their individual actions and take steps to make the Trial Court more welcoming and accessible to all. That is our rationale for developing programs such as Full Court P.R.E.S.S., a mandatory two-part program for all Trial Court employees. We recognize and value the unique qualities of every employee. Our diversity unites us and strengthens our commitment and service to the public, ensuring justice is administered with speed and fairness.
The Trial Court commits itself to:
- Recruit, hire, train, and promote persons in all job classifications without regard to ancestry, race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, disability, veteran status, pregnancy, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
- Ensure that all personnel actions and policies relating to compensation, benefits, transfers, terminations, training and development, education and promotions are administered without regard to ancestry, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, pregnancy, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
