Working on Wellness Program

A new statewide initiative funded by the Massachusetts Prevention and Wellness Trust Fund

Massachusetts Working on Wellness is a statewide initiative funded by the Massachusetts Prevention and Wellness Trust Fund (PWTF). Businesses that have participated in the program received training and technical assistance, seed funding and support services to help them launch a wellness program at their worksite.

Working on Wellness has 156 participating employers. As participants, these organizations have developed comprehensive worksite wellness programs that impact over 70,000 employees. Of the employees served, 21% are lower-wage workers and half of the organizations are small businesses, employing 200 or fewer people. Through Working on Wellness, these organizations have implemented sustainable programs and policies that promote health eating, increase physical activity, reduce stress, improve ergonomics and lead to other health benefits.

To see program results visit the Massachusetts Prevention and Wellness Trust Fund (PWTF) and scroll down to Working on Wellness Results at the bottom of the page.

Coming soon:  Working on Wellness will soon be available as a free, self-directed online training program.  The training program can be completed at the employers own pace and will include learning modules, case studies and other tools and resources to help businesses design, implement and evaluate a worksite wellness program.  Check back in January of 2018 for updates!
