SDO Means Business

From intent to impact, the SDO provides resources and tools to eliminate barriers and uplift diverse and small businesses.

The SDO engages in the intentional promotion of diverse and small businesses in advance of upcoming bidding opportunities. We do this through analyzing large bidding opportunities, providing advance notice to upcoming bids, training, outreach, and connecting businesses with needed resources. We also work with state agencies to critically examine their bidding documents to remove barriers to diverse and small businesses.

In addition, we have implemented technology tools and other resources that are needed to better compete for public bids. Our goal, as always, is to increase the involvement of diverse and small businesses in the State’s bidding process.
