WIC Act Early: Resources for Providers

Resources for healthcare providers working with families to monitor and track their child’s development

The Massachusetts WIC Program is pleased to work with Commonwealth providers to monitor child development using tools developed by CDC’s Learn the Signs. Act Early. The goal of monitoring child development at WIC is to identify concerns early and provide timely referrals for follow-up and developmental screening.

Massachusetts Act Early aims to educate parents and professionals about healthy childhood development, early warning signs of autism and other developmental disorders, the importance of routine developmental screening, and timely early intervention whenever there is a concern.

Birth to 5: Watch Me Thrive! 

A coordinated federal effort to encourage healthy child development, universal developmental and behavioral screening for children, and support for the families and providers who care for them.
