MassDOT staff manage several types of transportation projects and planning studies.
Projects and studies are managed by MassDOT staff, as well as consultant firms, and regional planning agencies. The level of involvement is project-specific, and it includes activities such as; project development and analysis, public participation, coordination, technical help, and project/study review. The studies are part of the standard planning, design, and environmental processes required to advance a transportation project forward.
