Morton Street Redevelopment

As the Shattuck Hospital will be moving all of its hospital beds and services to the East Newton Pavilion in the South End in 2027, planning is underway to engage the community on the redevelopment of the Morton Street campus.

In the spring of 2026, a series of public listening sessions was organized by the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) to engage the community in the redevelopment of the Morton Street/Shattuck campus. These sessions were an opportunity to learn about the context and history of the Shattuck Hospital/Morton Street campus and help ensure the redevelopment meets the needs of the community.

While the listening sessions have concluded, members of the public are welcome to submit written comments in connection with the spring listening sessions to mortonstreetredevelopment@mass.gov through June 21, 2026.
