Needham-Newton Corridor Project

The project will improve traffic safety and operations and multimodal accommodations (transit, bicycle, and pedestrian).

Improve the corridor extending from the intersection of Highland Avenue and Webster Street in Needham to the intersection of Winchester Street and Route 9 in Newton. The project excludes the area immediately adjacent to and above Route 128/I-95, which was part of an earlier project. The project also includes widening the bridge over the Charles River to accommodate all modes of travel.
