PITTSFIELD — A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges. 45 year old RUSSELL J. ALLISON a/k/a RUSSELL JACK ALLISON appeared before Judge John Agostini.
ALLISON pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE (2nd offense), one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN (2nd offense) and one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE (2nd offense) in connection with a motor vehicle incident in Pittsfield on December 23, 2015.
ALLISON also pleaded guilty to one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LOADED FIREARM and one (1) count of ARMED CAREER FELON. Those charges stem from an incident in Pittsfield on October 4, 2016.
Judge Agostini ordered that ALLISON serve a 4 to 5 year state prison sentence at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction on the ARMED CAREER FELON charge. He was given a concurrent 2 to 3 year state prison sentence on the charge of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE (2nd offense). ALLISON was ordered to serve concurrent house of correction sentences on the other charges.
One (1) count of ASSAULT BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON was dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth.
The investigations were conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
