State Auditor Suzanne M. Bump recently appointed Southborough resident Frances Skypeck to the Inspector General Council.

BostonState Auditor Suzanne M. Bump appointed Frances Skypeck of Southborough to serve as a member of the Inspector General Council (IGC). Skypeck was sworn in during a ceremony in Bump’s State House office on Friday, March 15, 2019.

Skypeck, who is replacing George DiTomassi, Jr. of Longmeadow, will serve on the eight-member Council that Bump chairs, for a term of three years.

The IGC meets with the Inspector General at least quarterly and provides consultation and assistance as needed. The council also sets the salary for the Inspector General position and conducts the annual performance review.

Skypeck is a professor of accounting at Framingham State University, and a certified public accountant. She also provides strategic financial consulting services to early stage biotechnology and software technology companies. She served as director of tax and compliance for the University of Massachusetts from 2014 to 2016 and worked as a consultant to NetCracker Technology Corporation in Waltham from 2011 to 2014.  She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Assumption College and a master’s degree in taxation from Bentley College.
