Press Release  Barnes enters not guilty plea on drug charges

PITTSFIELD — A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on a drug charge.  32 year old JOSEPH D. BARNES (73 Lincoln Street) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

BARNES had a not guilty plea entered on his behalf on one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE (2^nd offense).  Judge Agostini released him on $2,000 bail.  

The charge stems from the execution of a search warrant at his home on March 9, 2018. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force.
