Pittsfield — A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on firearm charges. 24 year old PHILIP K. BARUCH, JR. (423 North Street) appeared before Judge Mark Mason.
BARUCH had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY WEAPON, one (1) count of ILLEGAL OWNERSHIP OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION WITHOUT A FIREARM IDENTIFICATION CARD and one (1) count of IMPROPER STORAGE OF A LARGE CAPACITY FIREARM. Judge Mason released him on $500 cash or $5,000 surety bail on the condition BARUCH remain drug and alcohol free, not possess any firearms and continue counseling.
The charges stem from the execution of a warrant for BARUCH on March 15, 2018.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department and Massachusetts State Parole Officers.
