PITTSFIELD — A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges. 29 year old NICHOLAS Y. BEAUCHAMP appeared before Judge John Agostini.
BEAUCHAMP had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on three (3) counts of BREAKING AND ENTERING IN THE NIGHTTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, three (3) counts of LARCENY FROM A BUILDING, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE and one (1) count of CARRYING A DANGEROUS WEAPON. Judge Agostini ordered that be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $25,000 bail.
It is alleged that BEAUCHAMP broke into O’Brien’s Market, in Lenox, on August 4, 2017 and The American Legion, in Pittsfield, on August 20, 2017 taking ATM machines from both locations. It is also alleged that he broke into O’Laughlin’s Pub, in Pittsfield, on September 11, 2017 taking money from the business. The other charges stem from his arrest, in Pittsfield, on September 28, 2017.
The investigations were conducted by members of the Pittsfield and Lenox Police Departments.
